Hi Guys, I've got a question about my DWC. My girl is in late stages of floweing drinking water and nutrients really well during the day. Recently from time to time when I check ppm levels after night they shoot around 500ppm up and she drunk a lot of water. Is that normall that she drinks just a water at night? I have grown successful organic living soil grows with LED, but now attempting my first grow using 5 gallon buckets for my first indoor LED DWC grow. I only have two buckets at this time. A few weeks in veg, and now my plant is dying! Rust brown blotches started forming on the older leaves first, and the root system is turning a dark brown, which I know means root rot... Since switching to RO filtered water i am quite confused the dutch pro chart says 250-350ml of A + B per 100l 0.1ml of cal mag per L 0.4ml of silicia per L this in my RO water is 500ppm EC 1.05 i'm with very long vegged plants just on day1 12 12 first bloom feed i was just following the bottle in veg 1ml per litre of cal mag and silicia almost doubled up on everything to reach 800-900ppm and just ended up with deficiencys as soon as i included the cal mag i guess from too much extra cal... really confused about PPM from Hydroponics / Aeroponics read more

I've had the garden on jack's for about 2 weeks now and they look fantastic. I had an issue when I first switched due to low temperatures in the grow room. I had to redo my HVAC so instead of the ventilation exhausting to the outside I rerouted it to the other side of my basement. I couldn't get my temps above 71-72. Night temps were 64. The plants started having some calcium uptake issues. After correcting the HVAC situation and adding 2 space heaters to my basement the average temp is 77... I used rapid rooters before, and tried the plastic bag/paper towel method. But lately I have been just using hydroton in net pots in a tray and have had the most luck with that actually. So....I guess I screwed up my nutrient mix in my RDWC......I premixed the nutrients in a gallon jug to add to the water to get the proper PPM (40 gallon system)...but I guess this is not OK. Has anyone used this system? Found it being sold online at an indoor growing eshop that basically sells only cannabis growing gear. The button half of the stem cuttings are slimy and some looks like it’s being eaten away. Turning from the thick green to a limply brown/off white. Instead of buckets, I would use long discharge pipes. Each pipe would be 410 cm (13.5 feet) long, and there would be 16 pipes total. The pipe diameter is 160 mm (6.3 inch). Hi, this is my first aeroponic grow I been growing in soil for a few years and some grows with dwc never had an issue this bad. I germinated the seeds in aerogarden with no problems but I guess I transplanted them too late so the roots get touched and exposed because I couldn't get them through the net pot holes so I guess they got contaminated. I've been running GH's maxi grow and bloom for about a year and a half. I was mixing my fertilizer on demand the day of watering up until recently when it became advantageous and highly convenient to keep holding reservoirs of premixed solution on hand. Within 48 hours the reservoir would go cloudy forming white precipitate. By 72 hours the res was completely trashed. I've tried multiple solutions to remedy the issue and have since given up. Hey guys, would using an Ozone infuzed air pump with an air stone make any of the nutrients drop out of solution or neutralise them if running a sterile rez ? I have a unit that i got off amazon and the pump it came with was only strong enough to do things like jugs of water or a shallow rez. I have no clue what I'm doing but wanted to try some cloning. I made a clone chamber out of a couple 27 quart clear totes. Painted the bottom one black for a reservoir. 2" foam inserts in one of the lids. The other tote is used for a humidity dome. I have a sensor in the dome, it stays at 99%. Has anyone setup an autodoser to add oxidizers to their res water? I've seen dosing schedules for both H2O2 and UC Roots (I know I can't use both at the same time) and was wondering if the water needs the shock factor of the high/low cycle of these oxidizers or if I can just maintain a somewhat stable concentration w/ autodosing? e.g., if dosing for a solution dictates 6ml of solution every 3 days, can I just add 1ml every 12hrs or 0.5ml every 6 hrs with an autodoser? I'm using this 2 part nutrient system for a first time coco grow. Wondering if anyone else has any experience with it. I find it unique and a slight bit concerning that it's the only A/B that I've come across that uses a 1:1 A:B mixture throughout both veg and fruiting cycles; of course altering in mix strength. I searched for about an hour and didnt really see the answer to my question. Hypothetical scenario.. Lets say that your water level is 4 gallons 500 ppm 24 hours later your water level is 3 gallons 600. being new to DWC this would mean my plant is drinking more than eating. However, my question is would I need to add back 1 gallon of RO water to get my "true" reading? For instance adding 1 GAL of RO water would probably make my reading 4 gallons, 400-450PPM. System: DIY 5 gallon bucket flood and drain, with 4 brain buckets, pumps, a couple large reservoirs. This system is going to be 100 pots each brain bucket responsible for (25) 5 gallon pots. Okay so here's a little background on the grow. I am running 2 shiskaberry 1 do-si-do x Wilson cross and 1 gsc. In a 3 by 5 grow tent under 1000w HPS lamp.
