havent ran Rockwool and Hydroton in a couple of years but was gifted these plants already in Hydroton pots from a homie that had to travel for work and wasn’t gonna be back to finish them.so I took over but have been doing promix for years as well as soil. They are in rooted in Rockwool, places in 5-6 inch net cups with Hydroton on a table with a plastic cover. The table is empty no medium. I got a 40 gal Rez but it only has around 35 gal in it, as the return line hole is at the top. I... Need second opinion before I raise the ppms

been growing for 5+ years in promix and sunshine 4 with perlite, and making the change to coco. I was just wondering if there’s any people out there that can give me some tips to shorten the learning curve. Hello guys, i have a big problem... This is 12th day of vegetation. But plants had temperatures up to 31C, water temp up to 20C. So they seem to be very unhappy. New to this forum and this is my first post... I currently work at an aeroponic facility in western NC, helping to grow hemp/CBD. We loaded 44 clones into one of our towers this past Wednesday, all of which seemed healthy. We noticed on Friday that there were root aphids and possible spidermites. For the people who have experience with growing in rockwool, is it normal for my runoff ppm/ ec / ph to rise? If so, what should I be looking at for a normal/ acceptable range? I just started some rockwool clones in the 6x6. I originally had the cubes soaked at 5.8-5.9 ph and around 1.6ec. When I checked my runoff today (it’s been 1 week since I soaked the cubes) my ph was 6 and my ec was 3.4. Is that normal? Hi everyone. I've just entered flowering with my first DWC. Yesterday (last night@430) I changed out the buckets cleaned rinsed and refilled with fresh grow nutrients for the first half of transitioning. Using Dutch Nutrient Formula. I know others that run the same program but under different methods so I feel confident saying the nutrients are not the issue,by themselves, perhaps I've done something. Hey Guys, I'm building a top feed system for 6" grodan blocks. I have the floraflex tops to use for top feeding. Can anyone recommend what tube size to use and the best way to make this? i.e. Can I buy a ready made manifold that has, say 8 outlets for the tubes? Or is it easier to make one myself? Thanks. For the first couple of weeks I just allowed the roots to grow naturally. During this period they grew predominantly vertically. Though they were growing well there was a total lack of horizontal growth or any root mass at all. For the last week I've been pruning the roots an inch every two days. Since this period I've seen an explosion of lateral growth. There is much more of a root mass then there was before. It's possible that this growth might have happened anyways but I'm pretty sure... I put my E.C to about 1.0-1.2 and within a coupe days it's down to 4.5 from 5.8-6.0. The plants look fine but I know that's not good. No root probems they're white. I'm using GH maxi series with most of the additives

The plant appeared to do ok for day one, but today it is wilting horribly. The one i have hand watering once a day seems to be doing fine. I now have it set for 15m every 3 lighted hours. Here is my question, how often (ballpark) should I be flooding the bucket?

I'm trying to work out the best way to feed them. I can fit an 800L tank underneath the table and then recirculate the nutrient solution or I could go with one huge 2000L tank and drain to waste. Would really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

So I'm running a 4 site rdwc with a submersible water pump running waterfalls to each site from the res. I have 3 different cheap ph pens (not ready to bite the bullet on an expensive one yet). When I try to test my ph in my res I get errors and misreadings, however if I drop that same meter into a plant site bucket I can get actual readings with no issue at all. I'm wondering if anyone has run into this issue or could speculate on what's going on. I also have a tds meter that takes... Is this a dumb idea since the the tiny reservoir will make it harder to keep things stable...which I haven't been really paying close attention with this cutting. It's taken like 12 days just to start showing a roots (and it's just a tiny little fella), but could be my lack of maintenance checkup. I'm thinking of making another one, but am wondering if I'm not seeing a problem that maybe you folks do. It seems a little toooo easy

If you are a new grower doing under 10 plants and thinking of DWC let me save you a lot of problems, just don't do it. Do Drain to waste with your medium of choice. I could bore you with why and if you are a new grower you aren't going to really get it anyway, but just don't, believe me. Hey there, is anyone here running flood and drain with coco? I haven't used coco much, just for top feed DTW. I am very adept at running flood and drain with hydroton and wondered if there are any changes other than pH being at 6.0 when using coco? With expanded clay pellets I am flooding once every 4 hours when the lights are on. Should I use the same schedule with coco? or should I go every 5 or 6 hours? I'm gonna give hydro a go with a 42l udwc system for 2 plants as space is very limited. Northern Lights and Fire OG are the seeds I started last weekend in rockwool. They popped up this week and now have their first true set of leaves and the root coming through the bottom of the cube. Tomorrow will be the day I throw them in the system. Using hydroton for the medium and Advanced Nutrients Ph Perfect line of nutes. Heres a couple of crappy pics to get us started.... My first UDWC grow NL and FOG

Time to clean the res and flood tables. Though i would just use some pool shock so i dissolved some in hot water and dumped it in my res full of clean RO water. When it hit the cool water i saw the granules still... they didnt disssolve in the cooler water. So... is there still benefit or does the pool shock have to be dissolved? And what proportion should i be using for a deep clean?

I didnt empty my hoses of water and let the chiller and hoses sit for 2 weeks...It got stinky water Im running 1 part distilled vinegar and 2 part water recirculate...Once clean and I remove hoses am i supposed to drain the chiller itself? Currently I'm mixing Canna Flores a&b to about 800ppm then adding Canna bloom @ 4ml/litre and Pk13/14 @ 1.5ml/l. This brings me up to about 1000ppm (that's full strength according to their numbers) 2 days later that's up to 1250 but tbh she seems to be soaking it up. Should I continue even though ppm is rising or should I cut back on something and if so then which of the 3... ppm rising in flower

I've got an Active Aqua 60W, 70 L/min pump coming for my 4x5 gallon bucket UnderCurrent build. An 8 output manifold comes with it. What I'm wondering is, would 2 air stones per bucket produce more dissolved oxygen than 1 air stone per bucket at twice the pressure (because 4 of the outputs would be shut off)?
