I have been looking around for a good ec meter that i can rely on. I have seen in a lot of youtube videos people using bluelabs. I currently have an Apera EC20 and while it feels like a good product i dont know if i trust the readings. I'm in deep water culture hydroponics, NOT soil! How much 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, with how much water do I dilute to kill fungus gnat larvae? I took clones far too late at week 3 of flower because I was behind schedule. They're rooting very slowly as a result. I thought I would adjust the manifold last night (that wasn't leaking mind you) to get more spray on the stems. More spray on the stems really wasn't a solution to me taking clones in week 3 of flower, and was in no way going to make the clones root faster. After a lot of research, I bought a DWC system. I put tap water in systen and left it on for 24 hours before adding the nutrients (biobizz). I added the nutrients (Bio-grow, root juice and Call-mag) and got 400PPM and adjusted the PH to 5.8. So I have done a lot of testing on many different spray nozzles to find an ideal one for aeroponics and hydroponics in general. Static increases parameters of E.C. and P.H. exponentially so much so the P.H. meter went in the bin years ago. Even E.C. is not critical. With a growing plant these numbers can rise 24/26/28 and still not burn the roots. So ive told a bunch of people about this and everyone ive seen do it has had good success. This is how I start all my seeds and transition them into rdwc. I took the plunge 3 days ago and transitioned my entire garden over to jack's 5-12-26 from GH's maxi grow / bloom, and all of the plants look fantastic at 647-675PPM! That's pretty incredible to me, and explains why my jack's grown flowers taste and burn better. I have to feed GH's maxi grow / bloom at 775-825PPM to prevent deficiencies. Hi folks... am starting to get really dumbfounded. I started this plant on bennies. Despite good temps, roots started to rot. So I swapped to silver bullet roots, chopped the dying roots and the plant bounced back well, chucking out a tonne of new roots. I've prepped the plant for a manifold. With all this time on my hands I've had plenty of time to spend around my grow, I've been messing around with feed times, atm 1 min every 3 hours that's allowing the ec to raise by 0.2 over that period, it works out at 17/18% run off 24hrs. I'm putting in 1.0 getting 1.2 back, I'm thinking if I lower the ec by another 0.2 I won't need 17/18% run off? It's crossed mind I might just be diluting salts rather than washing them out, idk? Get your self a 1 lb bag of HTH Pool shock non PH buffered available online and most hardware stores (bought mine from Ace). Mix 1 GRAM (450 in the bag) per gallon of solution. What's up guys. Quick question for ya. Has anyone used Hygrozyme and Hydroguard (the new one) together in a DWC/RDWC? My water temps are a higher than I'd like to see on my new setup and I saw some foam forming in the rez, which I've never seen before in years if DWC. I hooked up my chiller, but I fucking hate using them. They are the most counterproductive piece of equipment IMO.
