I'm just starting in on my all-organic hydroponics grow. I've decided to use 9 DWC buckets, with Organic Compost Tea by Bountea compost tea, 2x1000w, all the works. This is my first time using compost tea with DWC culture though. If anyone has any experience, I would like to hear about it : How often they switched out compost tea solution, if they added any other nutrients, usual pH of compost teas. Can I put a rooted clone into a 3 gallon all perlite hempy bucket and grow it for 3-6 months without having any watering/root problems? How do I know when to water 100% Perlite hempy buckets because the top of the perlite is always dry? I recently switched to blumats irrigation for my setup and I noticed today that somehow the water inside my 20 gal tank is already getting cloudy with a colorful film on top, after only a handful of days. I scrubbed the tank down before hand ofcoarse and added r.o water then mixed with tap. I've also got a water pump in there that's keeping the water moving to try to combat any bad growth building up. Hey Guys, We're about to build a new grow room and looking for options. The only downside is we're growing in a tropical country where outside temps average 97F all year round... Our new grow room will feature multiple aircons where we can maintain any temperature between 70F and 86F. The only issue is the colder it is, the more electric we use... We also need to keep the room completely sealed so in the past have used C02 to use higher room temps (saving electric) in veg stage and... New grow hydroponic options for hot climate...

Has anyone had any experience of drying the precious Harvest in a food dehydrator?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. I don't know how aggressive the nutrients are to metals and if this kind of stainless steel might bleed toxic stuff into the reservoir.... Any idea?

Has anyone had any experience of drying the precious Harvest in a food dehydrator?

I dont want to use airstones. I need to floom a rain water barell with the size of around 500 liters or 130 gallons. And then I need to floom also a 150 liter reservoir or around 40 gallons. I am not really sure what pump (specs) I should choose for flooming. Also how often I need to floom. Any recommendation? Can I use my flooming pumps also for mixing the nutrients? Ok so I've been designing and redesigning my grow space for a while now and I'm having issues finding inline water pumps since I dont want to run the chance of raising water temps. 2 rows of 5 5 gallon buckets over a 10 foot span sharing a 30 gallon res.? I figure for the length of pipe I needed at least a 600-800gph pump. 2" and 1/2" pipe being used. I wanted to make some sort of DIY venturi system as well as waterfall. Any suggestions? These are questions for a friend. I run a living rez with bennies. A friend of mine out in Vegas decided to start growing after taking a break for several years. We were talking on the phone, and he had a couple questions that I didn't really have answers for. 1) HTH. I found a couple threads this morning on using it, but most people dilute it in water, then add it to the reservoir that way. I grow my seedlings at 700 for the 1st 2 weeks, and then increase to 1000 at week 3, and then when I flip go to 1200 and at week 6 they will be at 1400 and at week 8 will be at 1500 until finish. I grow in an RDWC with Rockwool as a starter base and then transfer to Hydroton, and have never cooked a plant, but I do get HUGE bud. Anyone else grow at these levels, or am I just weird? Here are my 6 week plants... I like 1500 PPM

So going to clean my aerocloner tonite after 1st run with it that was a success. Was thinking of running 10mls bleach per/ 1 gal of water and run pump for 24 hrs. After run some h202 with water for a few hours then good to go. Sound right?

I've got an Active Aqua 60W, 70 L/min pump coming for my 4x5 gallon bucket UnderCurrent build. An 8 output manifold comes with it. What I'm wondering is, would 2 air stones per bucket produce more dissolved oxygen than 1 air stone per bucket at twice the pressure (because 4 of the outputs would be shut off)?

Howdy, just wanna apologize ahead of time for my lack of knowledge on this subject... I am your average hillbilly grower, who actually has around 17 years of growing experience, but have always grown the old fashioned simple way "watering by hand". Basically, I'm getting older, my back can't handle all the toting of hundreds of gallons of water per week. My room is getting crowded and I need an easier way of watering and feeding. Im using 2 100 watt LEDs with a few feed from the canaopy. Now its been cold recently and idk if that would affect it all the others are 5. These are 5 pineapple chunk feminized and ive tried changing water to no avail. This is the sick plant up close. Ive tried several times to get clones to root in soil but for the 10 times i have tried none of them have rooted. I cut at a 45' angle then stick in water, cut about an inch up, dip in cloning solution then into soil. I heard rock-wool cubes work well so I bought some 2x2x2 cubes to use for cloning. Is it possible to plant the rock-wool cubes into soil once the clones root? I dont want the rock-wool to stay too moist while under the soil and cause root-rot. Should i cut the cubes in half so... Yo ho ho what a great day to grow. I have 4 gg#4 cuts that I rooted in 5 gallon coco / perlite hempy buckets with a lava rock reservoir. My nutrients are JR Peters Jack's 5-12-26 with calcium nitrate and Epsom salt otherwise known Jack's 321. It took me through the veg cycle to dial things in and now things are right as rain. As with most nutrient companies JR Peters suggests too much fertilizer if you use the amount they suggest. I found that I had to lower the ppms while maintaining the... Hey guys, I keep getting algae on the top of my rockwool cubes. Thankfully, I live in a place where i can buy clones at the store, and within a week, about a third of them get a film of either green or black goo on the top. The rest are clean. I keep the humidity at 50%, use gh 3 part, floralicious plus, and root juice. I tried flushing them more often, didn't matter. Other growers say they all get it too and it doesn't hurt the plants but those clones always seem to be lagging behind. Oh, I... Algae on my Rockwool Cubes? From all you oh so wise green thumbers, some assistance is needed! Ahh... My friend recently switched from an Aeroponic cloner to trying Bubbleponics (most on here agree that Bubbleponics has superior results). That combined with less maintenance my friend recently decided to make the switch. It should be said, the water leaks, worries about water temps, difficulty cleaning the unit etc are not missed. I was reading a thread a little bit ago and someone posted a pic of their own setup. It used a 4x4 flood table. But instead of Rockwool or any medium he had a table top with holes drilled in it. He used neoprene collars and aero cloned into the tops. He ran the ebb and flow sort of like a nft setup. Just wanted to see if I could find the person and or thread again? Just taking a poll... What ppms or ec do you like for veg and for flower? I know it depends on the strain... but would like to know your average range? Even though i went well under GH hydros recommendations it seems i over fed a bit so... prepping for the next run and want to see what peeps here are doing.
