I'm building a 5 site rdwc. It will stretch across 10 feet. My plan is to have waterfalls at each site. I'm looking at a 1200 gph danner water pump on Amazon. Will this be strong enough to create the DO needed for this type of system. I'll be running 2" pvc between totes and 1" return to res.

Hey there, is anyone here running flood and drain with coco? I haven't used coco much, just for top feed DTW. I am very adept at running flood and drain with hydroton and wondered if there are any changes other than pH being at 6.0 when using coco? With expanded clay pellets I am flooding once every 4 hours when the lights are on. Should I use the same schedule with coco? or should I go every 5 or 6 hours? Been seeing unreal ez cloner results. Can someone explain this griffintech recipe in detail. I think it contains hormex, clonex solution, and uc roots. Germination start time- 10/17 @ 12pm Seeds popped and started sprouting way faster than anticipated this time (first sight of sprout 2 days ago)and still under the dome unvented and total darkness in rockwool cubes..one seedling looks to be maybe a couple inches I know too much moisture for too long can cause some mold issues and t-5s are good for seedlings but I can’t get back home to them until later tomorrow... The only plants getting affected are the ones directly under the light. The plants on the edges of light are nice green with no problems but under the light the leaves are yellowing/brown blotching which I thought of as P def? The plants are close to light and do have a slight light nurn but no heat burn. now that I'm looking at... please tell me this problem

I put together this RDWC system with 2 - 5gal. grow buckets and 1 - 5 gal. res. I use a 7 stage system for RO water. Since I liked the Super Skunk so much from the last grow that I thought I'd grow another (plant on the left). The other plant (plant on the right) is Jock Horror. I grew this a few years ago and want to use up all my feminized seeds before I go on to other strains again. Right now I have 2 300watt & 1 600watt led lights. I've got an Active Aqua 60W, 70 L/min pump coming for my 4x5 gallon bucket UnderCurrent build. An 8 output manifold comes with it. What I'm wondering is, would 2 air stones per bucket produce more dissolved oxygen than 1 air stone per bucket at twice the pressure (because 4 of the outputs would be shut off)?

I've been having issues recently with my holding reservoir (32 gallons) going rancid in just a matter of days recently. What I mean by that is there is clear slime on the air lines going to the air stones and on the water line of the plastic trash can. I even have a pond pump in the bottom to add circulation. My water temps are around 76-78 and I suspect that might be my problem. I then started reading about adding 3-5ML/gallon of food grade hydrogen peroxide to my reservoir to keep bad... I'm running a NFT system, and have my seeds sprouted in 1in rockwool cubes surrounded with clay grow-rocks. Each crop seems to have the signs of overwatering (droopy, soggy looking, leaves turning down, etc), however, everything I read says that one cannot overwater a hydro system. Third crop, and I'm having the same problems. Curious if anyone else is having issues cloning this time of year? Don't know what it is but for some reason, the aero sprayer 5gal bucket I made years ago is yielding nothing but jello stems for me? Bout to lose my fav strain sin mint as it's 2 weeks into flower now and I don't got a clone of her yet. I'm pretty pissed. I figure I got about 2-4 more days before its too late. I took lower branches as they weren't as developed hormonely but I'm thinking tops are the better option. Any ideas... Difficulty cloning using same method as ALWAYS.

I was just wondering if there’s any people out there that can give me some tips to shorten the learning curve. As the title says, This is my second grow using RO after multiple grows using hard water and the hardwater micro. I moved over to RO because my tapwater was so hard it was causing lockouts sometimes but im not getting the same explosive growth and some purple stems, even though the plants themselves look great, they are definitely slower vegging than when I was back in my tent using tapwater. This is my first grow in coco. I purchased a brick of coco, washed it, and buffered it with cal mag. Seeds sprouted in about 48 hours and now I'm on week 4. I'm feeding them about 500 ppm of GH Flora nutrients and cal mag ph'd to 5.8. What am I missing? Temps are right at 70. Humitity varies from 50 to 60%. They're being fed everyday with runoff. Looking for directions to info about a specific grow style. Grow Journals, How to's, anything I can study up on. I really like the idea of Ebb and Flow that uses as little grow medium as possible. That requires that the tray be covered so that the roots, as they expand, are not exposed to light. KLX does this style with 2 inch net pots and hydroton. I've also seen something similar done with setting 4 inch rockwool cubes on a NTF material. It seems like there would be a learning curve to... No meduim Ebb and Flow/NFT questions...

I am looking to start a hydro farm. I have a dome to start my seedlings, i would then like to veg my best 10 plants in a 4x4 tent , i plan on vegging with a t5 ,8 bulb ,ho system . Noticed a spot on one of the plants. They’ve been growing nicely, and fast, up until this morning. Using all the nutrients that came with the tent set up (advance nutrients grow bloom micro) and they’ve been working. pH has been stable, water was just changed yesterday. Plants are in week 4 of veg. Noticed some discoloration on the roots as well. Did some research and ordered some a Hydroguard for the water because it’s starting to look like root rot. Been a long time since I did an areo grow. Doing 1 min on 6 to 7 min off. The one on the left seems to wilt if i go 1 on 5 off. I am using botanicare and am using liquid karma i know that can make the roots a little darker. They dont feel slimy butim unsure on that. I have hydrogaurd in the rez. Rez temp has been 68 to 72 now with iceprobe its down at 63. Ph is 5.9 6.1 meter is a little wanky have a new one coming. These are the mothers for a start so i. Scared lol.

I Need your help My set up is a Hydroton based flood&drain Table with a Reservoir that Pumps nl in a tray 3×3 , All plants sit in the same tray. It allways happends that some plants have a stronger rot system and make some plants realy small becaus the los root space . Lost full grow after full grow with a few decent grows in between. I now have 10 plants with the rot again due to the 3 day hot UK weather spell, came on in 2 days and crippled them. I can't really afford to buy or run a water chiller but res temps are not to bad 22 max in summer. I am running... Sick of Root Rot can I convert my RDWC to some other system?

Both of my plants are in the third week of veg and the pineapple chunk is showing signs of discoloration on the fan leaves. A water trickle and the small hum from a water pump is far quieter than the air pumps I had tried. The idea of this is that it mimics nature in the form of aeration and ensures nutrients are very well mixed. Works great running with a... Vortex aeration

So I have some rooted clones I threw into some 6” rockwool cubes and I’ve been wondering about watering schedules. I am going to do flood and drain. My res has a chiller and stays at 69 and I have a recirc pump with a water flow to keep the nutes and oxygen moving.
