Colloidal silver in the Res instead of H2O2. Any thoughts?

I am thinking to substitute colloidal silver for H2O2 in the res, not just to purify the mix, but hopefully allow the plants to absorb a little as a mold/fungus preventative. Has anyone out there tried this? I realize that this may kill off some beneficial bacteria in the substrate, but so does H2O2. December 29, 2019 at 11:42PM Read more about this fix

Low Pressure Aero build...it has begun!

Ive been wanting to try aero or rdwc for a bit, i figure a nice winter project isnt such a bad idea. Rdwc troubleshooting

So I've completed my 5 tote system with waterfalls in each tote. I did a leak test and noticed my waterfall pump drained my res before my chiller pump could fill it back. My questions are did this only happen bc I only partially filled my totes? Or do I need equally strong pumps on each end?

Best way to keep nutrient mix “clean”

Currently my grow room is upstairs. We have no source of water upstairs. I have a room where i mix all my nutes up and then usually toss my pump in the bucket with the hose in my Res and fill it like that. But I usually have to fill up 2, 5 gallon buckets every other day. First Ebb & Flow

I'm setting up my first E&F system. I will be using a 600w HPS bulb in a aircooled hood. A 4x4 flood table will be used. I will grow in SOG. 1. How big (or small) should the netpots be? 2. How far up on the flood table should the water level go? I'll be cloning in to Grodan plugs and then use hydroton in the netpot. 3. I've been trying to find solid info on how often to feed them but there doesn't seem to be a concensus on it. Should I go with 3-4 times per light cycle? Been growing in... First Ebb & Flow

Siphon Fed Air Atomized Aeroponics

Hi RIU, I want to experiment with HPA and Siphon Fed AAA. Hpa pump life AQUATEC CDP 8800 high flow booster pump

I bought a AQUATEC CDP 8800 high flow booster pump to run a hpa setup. If a hpa only runs every 5 minutes for 5 seconds why is a accumulator recommended? That doesn't seem like it would be taxing for this pump. The pump is only a hundred bucks and if I can get a grow out of one it would be worth it to me replacing it every grow. It seems like a lot easier than dealing with solenoids and accumulators. Thanks for your help David
