The ppms are high so I can never really add a decent amount of nutrients to my res. Hi I am in my second week of my first aeroponic grow in a grow box. Did a lot in soil outside but life takes you elsewhere and you change grow style. I follow the GHE chart and after adding the nutrients my PPM is 250 and in 2/3 days drops to 80. Isn't that low? The other annoyance is the PH because it rises from 5.8 to 8 in 3 days. Ok, so my roots have a slight browning going on. I'm thinking maybe from light getting in through air lines. How much light is too much? I do have to open the res to replace cooler packs couple times a day to keep root zone temp in check, but until I build my circulation pump and cooler it's my only choice. Hi, I just finished my first soil grow (organic) AND WOW the smoothness and flavor is like none of my hydro grows. I have done about 8 hydro grows. I flushed for 1 week with AN flawless finish and 1 week fresh water in all grows. The hydro is always harsher and taste/smells less than this soil. Fam, My garden is currently suffering from a mistake. I used wettable/sprayable sulfur and a decent amount made it's way into the system. Root rot has developed, and after two H202 flushes the rootrot is still there. Roots look a little yellowed out, with a small amount of visible root rot near roots that don't touch the water. My idea is I'd like to do a recirculating top drip tray. I want to use cloth pots filled with a 50/50 mix of perlite and vermiculite. I want to irrigate for a set period of time out of a resevoir underneath the tray and have it drain back into the same resevoir. Im into ebb and flow right now, got pots filled with hydroton. Last week i found info on filtering water-agriculture systems with lavarock. Cant find it anymore,but i thought it might work. The space around my pots in my flood table could be filled with lavarocks, and It is hard to keep the resevoir clean, but why would i do it if benificial bacteria in the lavarock could filter my system?
