Hi I recently set up a 4x2x6 ft tent with an ebb and flow system. Ebb & Gro buckets: Is it best to time the flood so that the buckets are fully flooded and then drain them immediately? Or is it better to let the plants soak for a few minutes before draining them? My friend just put his Ebb Flow 12 bucket system into but after veggin for about 6-7 weeks he watered 3 times for 15 minutes each time every 24 hours.... Im 5-6 weeks out in blooming with nevilles haze but i cant find the sweetspot for the EC level. At vegetive stage i was at 1.8 and the plant was loving it like mcdonalds but when I flipped over for 12/12 cyclus, one day I was checking the EC levels and it was up at 4.5!! After 3-4 days with only water and a background EC at 0.1 the reservoar was now at 0.7 but the PH was at 4 and im struggling to keep it at a decent level. 1.1 EC is too much and 0.7 is too little, and this plant seems very... Well this is my 2nd not so successful round of cuts in the aerocloner. I'm going on 9 days and only 3 or 4 cuts out of a total of 60 are showing roots. The PH is 5.5-6.0, running plain RO with a dose of beneficial tea. PPM 50, temp, 74F. I am currently running the pump 24/7, my question is, do I need to put this damn thing on a cycle timer in order to get it to work? Who here uses a timer? And what cycle is it running, 15 on, 15 off? I fill a smart pot with 3gl of coco, right? right out of the bag. I prepare a 3gl bucket with just RO water in it to wash the new pot. I pH it down to about 4! (shiny red in the liquid tester). Then I flush the pot with the whole 3gl of water. Runoff EC goes down from 1200 to 500. pH - stays 6.5, won't budge a bloody .1! anyone can tell me anything about it? Hey all, hope everyone is good. So I've got a little problem that I've been fighting during this grow. I set my pH at 5.85 or so, and the next morning when I check it, it's down to 4.5 I haven't had this problem before, I have always had to bring pH down. Using GHE trio (well Micro and Bloom only in this stage - Weekly feed) - Calcium/Magesium (more about this later) and GHE Bloom Booster. I have some funky smell coming out of one of my buckets indicating a root zone issue. Never had one before, but something is mucking things up. I had to go on a run for some 35% h202 today. One of those things you simply can not buy online due to shipping restrictions. I was blown away at the price. $12.09 for a gallon, however it's 34% and not listed as "food grade." Ok so I am wondering if someone can educated me on whether or not I could do dtw coco setup or an ebb and flow (I'd prefer this I think) with no chiller. Multiple 4x4 rolling tables. I am using LeD and CO2 and intend on having the room at 80-85*F or or 27-30*C. So with the room being so hot. And the reservoirs being in the room I assume the water temps would get fairly warm after a day or two in the 80s. Hi, I've been growing in soil up until now but I'm keen to try a hempy grow, using the classic perlite/vermiculite blend with clay pebbles in the res. I plan to flower in 10l buckets, but my veg tent is small, so I need to start them in smaller pots.
