Optimum flood time? - ebb & gro buckets

Ebb & Gro buckets: Is it best to time the flood so that the buckets are fully flooded and then drain them immediately? Or is it better to let the plants soak for a few minutes before draining them? I've got a new timer that lets me set precise flood times now, instead of the standard 15 minute increments.

I am modifying my Power Grower RDWC systems to have a 13 Gallon Reservoir. And in general my tendency has been to make my PPM stronger then what they actually consume nutrient wise! Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. How to correct Rising pH/PPM runoff

Okay so this is my first run with Hydroponics. I have been running a top feed drip line system. I am running my girls in 6 inch rockwool cubes placed in 7 x 7 pots filled with hydroton. There almost 28 days into veg from seed. I've begun to notice a couple rust spots on my girls nothing too major. I figured starting a little nute burn. So I backed off the nutes a little.
