Rockwool soaked in Aeroponics system

Hello, It has been 6 days since I started my seeds. Originally I started them in Perfected Starts (Composted bark, much like rockwool) with a heating pad a humidity dome and some water. After 5 days I moved them over to my hydroopnics unit because they were showing tap roots. Checking them now, the perfect starts are completely soaked and they have been completely soaked for about 48 hours. Should I stop the pump and let them dry out? You can see in the pictures it is competely soaked... Rockwool soaked in Aeroponics system from Hydroponics / Aeroponics read more

Waterfall spout extender

Hey guys, I have a question. Would it be too much if I added 3 more 90 degree elbow spouts that circle around the top of a grow bucket in a daisy chain fashion, creating 4 water falls of equal pressure? Go green or Go Ham

I am conflicted between a good conscious, go green, energy star system and a bada$$ top notch rdwc-waterfall diagonal halfpipe closet scrog. I have two plans, one combines gravity and the lowest wattage pump necessary to pump 80-120 gph into each bucket to complete a full recirculating waterfall system. The other has a 750+ gph danner mag drive inline pump, check valves, venturi system, pressure gauges, AND air pumps with nano bubbles to complete the same waterfall system. Both systems use... Safe Reservoir Temps For DWC?

Im running LED's in my room (mars tsw2000) and trying to follow VPD as much as possible. Im told that running LEDs i need to have my room temp a bit higher because the leaves dont get the heat they should ]running something like HPS, so i have to account for that with room temp. I dont have a chiller and am scared about reservoir temperatures getting too high and root rotting out. Rockwool with drippers

I'm running quite a few plants in 6 inch rockwool cubes and I'm having trouble getting them to wet/dry consistently with each other. Some will be totally soaking wet and some are light as a feather at the same time, even if I run the system for 15 mins until my tray is pooling. Some are still extremely light. I have noticed that they are all dry on top, no matter how heavy they are and it makes me nervous that only half the cube is getting water. Is there some technique to putting in the... Guide to Hydrogen Peroxide in hydroponics systems.

I found this pretty easily using Google, but I thought I would share the info. If it has been done already I apologize. This is originally from http://www.jasons-indoor-guide-to-organic-and-hydroponics-gardening.com/using-hydrogen-peroxide.html There are no doubts about the benefits of using hydrogen peroxide properly in a hydroponics system. This becomes especially true if your nutrient reservoir is kept above 72 degrees . Warm water holds less dissolved oxygen... Iron precipitation

I am in a coco DTW system. Having problems with iron precipitating out. I say iron… as it is black but I haven’t tested if it is magnetic. Just occurred to me. Regardless, black precipitate in my reservoir. Here’s the recipe I am following: GH Armor Si 3ml/gal Peters 3.4g/gal Calcinit 2.3g/gal Epsom 1.2g/gal Greenway Cal-Mag powder reconstituted per directions 3ml/gal I know the cal-mag and Si are not typical in a 3-2-1 setup but I won’t stop using Si because it makes a huge... Ebb e flow first grow, flood during the night?

hey guys, this is my first time growing in a ebb e flow setup, using clay pellets as medium, i need some advice if i should add a flood during the nigh cycle my plants are going in straight into 12/12 from clone, they went in 5 days ago, just noticed that they get droopy before the first flood (20min after lights on, last flood is 40min before lights off, doing 5 floods total), should i add a flood during the night? that did not seem to be happening until now, but they kinda went on growth... PERFECT Res Temp without approximation?

Hey Growers! I wanted to ask a simple question trying to figure out what the perfect temperature for water in hydro would be, within maybe 2 F. (I got a new tool that allows me to regulate it without approximation) Let's say i have a DWC - RDWC system, i use h202 to sterilize the water and i can follow the VPD chart exactly, room temperature being a couple degrees (5 - 6 F)warmer than res. Right now i'm aiming for 66 F, but i'm wondering if maybe the plants can benefit... PERFECT Res Temp without approximation? from Hydroponics / Aeroponics read more

Reptile fogger for hydroponics

I want to get into hydro and decided I want to give fogponics a try. My buddy has given me a reptile fogger for free so I plan on using that and connecting it to my container via tubing to produce the fog. I know that water temp is important for hydro and I was wondering if I need to add warm water 68F-70F to the repfile fogger right away or do I just add cold water and let it do its thing since it will heat up anyway? Any tips for this kind of setup you can give me? from Hydroponics / Aeroponics read more

What are the best strains for indoor hydro/aero?

Just curious what everyone has had the most success with - excluding autoflower. I'd venture a guess at super skunk, white widow, or northern lights/blue dream. Never grown any of these. Hi guys, this is my first post, maybe someone is able to shed some light on this issue. 3d Printed undercurrent Hydroponics system (UC RDWC)

Decided to attempt a 3d Printed undercurrent Hydroponics system (UC RDWC) , as they are very good systems but just cost a stupid amount of money. It seems that things like the large tank connectors realy drive to cost up. i also seem to have collected a lot of filament that i can use to print most parts except the 110mm pipes and the quality square buckets i found. Hydroguard or southern ag gff?

What is the difference in these products? Isnt it the same bacteria in each bottle? Huge price difference! Hydrogaurd label says it has .038% bacteria and is clear.
