How clean do Flood and drain clay pebbles need to be?

How clean do the expanded clay pebbles have to be in a flood and drain system? This is my first time using them and I keep rinsing but the water is still a bit cloudy, it's no where near as dark as it was, I can see through it but still a bit cloudy. Any info on what problems this might cause if any?

Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. How to correct Rising pH/PPM runoff

Okay so this is my first run with Hydroponics. I have been running a top feed drip line system. I am running my girls in 6 inch rockwool cubes placed in 7 x 7 pots filled with hydroton.
