DWC: Any reason not to keep Rockwool starter cube raised slightly in the net pot?

My rockwool starter cube is staying too wet. I would like to be able to keep the water level higher, so I’m wondering if there is any potential problem with only burying half of it like this:

Hey all! I thought I'd share an experiment about achieving from seeds to R/DWC directly. First, sprout the seed in paper towel... Should take ~48 hours, then fill your netpot with clays. Take the little one with squeezers and place it gently, leaving the shell's side in an upside position, between two pebbles, to make it easier for the head to grow and reach for the light....
