alright guys just need a little bit of assurance. i was meant to start my for hydroponic grow a good few weeks back. but dew to work men. working on the house i wasn't able to set things up. now i started my seeds off it one inch rock-wool cubes and worked up to the 3 inch ones but roots started coming out of the bottoms. so to protect them from the lights ive sat the 3 inch cubes on top of 3 inch pots filled with soil. and on checking on them today they root bound. but the plants are a good...

Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. I don't know how aggressive the nutrients are to metals and if this kind of stainless steel might bleed toxic stuff into the reservoir.... Any idea? How concentrated to make Nutrient Solution in my 13 Gallon RDWC Reservoir for One big Plant?

I am modifying my Power Grower RDWC systems to have a 13 Gallon Reservoir. And in general my tendency has been to make my PPM stronger then what they actually consume nutrient wise! I have done this because they don't seem to burn and because they can consume the whole entirely of the reservoir in one day at their peak flowering cycle. In Veg my plants can drink as high as 1400 PPM which seems crazy. But as soon as I flip the light cycle this drops to about 600-700. .5 conversion And I...
