OK so I have been seeing people say that things need to be added in a certain way. Instructions also say which order to add things in. My gut is telling me bullshit. I don't believe that any kind of major chemical reactions are going on that would require things be added in a certain order. It reminds me of one of Hempy's friend who did an old tutorial of him mixing Nutes and he dumped them all into a bucket before adding water. 3 rdwc systems one water chiller?

I have 3 4x4 tents with a system in each with 4 plants and one res bucket outside each one.. I have a aircon in the room outside, but struggling to keep the water temperature down.. Is there a way to connect one water chiller to all 3 systems? Will a coil in each res bucket be effective? How often to water seedling in rockwool and when to transplant

Hello everyone! I just planted seeds in Rockwool cubes and I’m wondering how often I should be watering them I started already getting some seeds sprouted after three days under the humidity dome. For the ones I germinated, there are some leaves coming out but I’m not sure how often and how to water them. 1) Should I spray ph-ed water or pour water on the tray and what criteria to decide how much? My rockwool cubes are still fairly humid so I wouldn’t be tempted to soak them again but... Seedling issue in HPA

I have my HPA system set to mist 3 seconds every 2:30. When I move my seedlings into the system the growth has halted and no progress for almost 5 days. Additives PPMs

Hi guys! I would like to know how is it adaviced to manage additives' PPMs ) like PK bosster an so on in a , nutrient regimen. I've seen around people suggesting going with 2/3 of total PPMs with base nutrients and 1/3 additives; and also people suggesting on increasing only base nutrients if we have for example to bump up the PPMs and leave the additives at the same concetration. Just flipped to 12/12 this week. Week 5 1/2 of veg

This thing had completely grow into my 3x3 so no need to veg anymore. Has a ton of colas on it at this moment. Put it in 12/12 two days ago so things are now getting exciting. Using Advanced Nutrients and RO water. Keep my PPM around 750-850. I trimmed her up a little on Monday and the second pic is this morning. White Slime on My Roots and Airstones

Alright I have a stealth hydro type dwc. Got some Satori (3 weeks old) goin. About a week ago, I noticed some white slime on their roots, I think only the roots that were under water. Well I started a hydrogen peroxide run, following amounts I have seen on this board and others. It didn't help. I even picked off some slime covered root and put it in a bowl of peroxide, just to see if it was something that was immune to it. The shit bubbled and mostly disappeared after about 20 minutes... Flood and Drain - Jack's 321 - having problems.

I'm doing flood and drain in buckets with rockwool. I started using Jack's 321 because I heard good things about it. Everything was going great until about 5 weeks into flower. My PPM after mixing a fresh rez is about 1350. After a feeding the rez would shoot up to around 1700. I'm wondering if that could be caused by a salt buildup? Anyway, I guess I did not think it was a huge problem, but over the next week or so the plants were showing signs of nute burn. What would cause the ppm to... irrigation question? 1 pump, 2 ressies?

I'm running 2 rows, at different stages and each row will need their own reservoir. I'm familiar with setting up zones using sprinkler controllers. But only with 1 source or resevoir of water. I'm trying to figure out a way to use just 1 inline pump teed off to each reservoir? Anyone smarter than me know of a way? Hello, I have a couple week old seedlings that were started in an aerogarden and once the roots hit the water were transplanted into my recirculating drip system where the aerogarden pod was placed in hydroton. I have a 4 cob ~280W light dimmed to about 2/3 power and raised 24 inch from plants. This is in a 2x4 tent with a 4 inch carbon filter exhaust. I have terrible tap water which is usually 7.8 pH and starts at around 350ppm. Need help with my aero cloner!

I'm running a homemade tote with a 400gph pump and red 360 ez sprayers, using 10 gal of RO water with 150ml clonex and a teaspoon of pond zyme. My water temps are usually around 70f, ambient air temps are around the same and I try to keep the tent RH around 65%. I have the pump turning on for 30 sec then off for 10 mins. Has anyone tried using a fish tank uv filter to kill any bacteria in a recirculating reservoir? Seems a much better option than H202 or bleach. You can get a good one for $100 that is good for 125 gallons? Reservoir color change - what does it tell you

Hi, I was wondering if there is any information on using your res color to determine generally which nutes your plants are taking in. I am using the GH Flora Series for example, and my solution has turned yellow-ish after a week (2 gal non-recirculating bucket). In the past it has turned completely clear. Nutes/ppm question

Hey ! I use GH flora series and Cal/Mag. Milwaukee MW802 (700ppm) I want 500ppm for veg but when I use 1/2tsp of Micro, 1/2tsp Gro and 1/4 of Gro I get 480ppm including the 70ppm from the filtered water. Which is where I want it for veg stage. But, adding the Cal/Mag gets it to 930ppm. Taking the leap. Soil to waterfall rdwc

After days of research ive decided im gonna give hydro a shot. Im going to be building a 4 plant rdwc waterfall test system, run a veg through it and if I like the results im going to build a lot more. I need some help though I cant find much info on matching up pipe sizes to pots and water pumps. I was thinking 2 inch pipe or tubing but not sure how big a water pump id need. Fogponics- Can I leave my fogger on 24/7

I made a fogponics clone station without realizing fogponics or really even aeroponics existed. This is all very new to me but I'm eager to learn. My fogger is an ultrasonic humidifier. I can't put it on a timer so it has to constantly run. Will constant flowing fog on a stem cause rot? The leafy areas of the stem are in a separate area and aren't touched by the fog if that makes a difference. Also the fogger puts out way too much fog for the resevoir so I have a window which excess flows... Sterile vs bennies in warmer temps

My setup has been running well and I've been running bennies but I do have to fight off root rot on occasion cause of my buckets dont empty completely. I was wondering if running sterile or bennies better for these situations? My temps run 75-80ish in an ebb flow bucket system. Reservoir is in a different room. Hi Plants are showing some spots, but im not sure why could it be. AN sensi A&B gets smelly after few days

Bought nutes in March. Mix my a&b in 5 gal colored buckets with RO. After 3-4 days, they start to smell. They have lids( not air tight ) , in a room that never gets over 75. Not in direct light. One month in on first grow

Been very happy so far with this grow. Started to do some LST and topped it yesterday. Not bad from seed to this in a month. It is an Ethos Genetics Crescendo RBx1. Hi guys, I have decided to switch over using sterile system using H2O2 as the sterilising agent at 35% ~1ml/L twice a week. DWC: Does the clay pebble dust effect my rez or roots

Its had to wash off all the dust or clay from the pebbles off... Dwc rez change and smt gone seriously wrong!

Hi Put my 1 month old DP Strawberry Cough into her proper tent yesterday, did a rez change and wtf happened, dramatic curling up edges of biggest fan leaves, this is super sudden she was looking great yesterday. She had about 600ppm of Canna Flores and a bit of Rhizo 2ml/litre, pH6, thats it. 2 possible things, the pH jumped to 7 overnight, and also humidity dropped too low, about 35% so im thinking/hoping it was one of those. Hello R.I.U. community, I'm just getting my 2nd grow attempt going and i noticed something that struck me as odd. The plants in question all came from the same "bag"(canister from dispensary). I only know the mother as I wasn't in on the pollination. They all came from Pineapple Express. PH, EC, and TDS meters

I'm curious what most people growing in hydro use most. Personally I have used ph and tds. Most meters I used gave "close numbers" but never seemed to be totally consistent. Lots people preach quality. Finally broke down and bought the bluelab kit. PH and EC meters. Holy shit, what a difference. I will never buy cheap meters again. Now back to the question, when measuring PPM or EC what do you trust more for concentrations? PPM seems more precise cuz it gives you a 3 or 4 digit reading... Serious Issues with my Plants

Hey guys, I seriously don’t know what’s wrong with my plants. On some of them, the leaves are turning crispy and yellow and curling downwards. I’m so clueless as to why. The PH is at a good level, temperature and humidity is perfect. I tried watering down their nutrient solution in case they were getting too much nutrients. Nothing seems to work. So i am experimenting with my LED lights and i think i might of given my plants a little light burn. I am using fluence spydr 2p with dimmer. initially it was about 20" from the top of the plants and dimmed down to 30% which was using about 213 watts each light ( i have 2 of them in a 4x8 tent ) Decided to increase the lights to 40% and this is what happened( see pics ) on a few of the clones. Years ago there was an excel spreadsheet preloaded with GH flora values and you could plug in your numbers and get all the data. It was originally kind of passed around along with Lucas formula so people could see that you hit all your numbers. Hydroguard or southern ag gff?

What is the difference in these products? Isnt it the same bacteria in each bottle? Huge price difference! Hydrogaurd label says it has .038% bacteria and is clear. Southern AG says it has 98.85% bacteria and is like chocolate milk. Is this because it so much more potent? Is Southern AG safe for a recirculating ebb n flow system? Seedling not Growing

So, I transferred a seedling into my DWC about a week and a half ago. Since then, the veins have developed a slight purple colour, the leaves have been drooping like crazy, the bottom leaves have turned yellow and, most importantly, the thing hasn't grown at all. Hi, I'm sure I'm being dumb, so here it goes: I started using the diablo line of fertilizer - Micro, grow, bloom, calcium, frost. PPM 1600-1800 - week 5 of vegetation Water pH 5.5-6.1 It has only been 24 hours, from healthy bushy plants the leaves are now rapidly turning brown, the same was as if it was a calcium deficiency. I'm using this 2 part nutrient system for a first time coco grow. Wondering if anyone else has any experience with it. I find it unique and a slight bit concerning that it's the only A/B that I've come across that uses a 1:1 A:B mixture throughout both veg and fruiting cycles; of course altering in mix strength.
