Forward left is a gelato strain and the others are zkittles. The leaf curl has been there for a week or so prior to the change out. The droopyness is after maybe two hours of changing out. Any thoughts? Running UC roots at 100ml to about 45 gallons, plus 90 grams each of v1 and v2 Floraflex and 40 ml of calimagic. Ok I've had a thread the last month about what I thought was root rot, I bleached everything and threw out stuff. This is only happening on the same plant, not on other strains.. Previously the plant wasn't drinking and these are clones from those ones that died. I think the previous plant started like this and got worse quick. I'll make this as short as I can. I run drain to waste drip irrigation. I picked up some extremely off pH coco that I never tested before transplant. Plants have been in for about a week, but showing signs of pH imbalance.(twisting leaves, lockout etc). I'd like to know if it's possible to flush this coco that already has the rockwool clones I bought, and it not do further damage. From other posts I made in the last few weeks I think I had root rot.....I just checked two new rez's and both sets had brown roots. I immediately rinsed the roots off and I think its clay pebbles dust (I rinse pebbles off as good as possible), but am not sure. Can clay pebble dust effect roots in hydro (DWC) ?? I had been growing in coir with no pearlite, using advanced nutrients ph perfect sensi coco and run into the same issues with two separate grows, 4 strains total. I followed the grow calculator to the letter and used ro water checked ph 5.8 and runoff 6.2. And no matter what I got what appeared to be cal mag issues so I started adding calimagic @175 to 200 ppm and still the issues persistented. Got a question about what to use in my ebb and flow system. I have on hand flora nova bloom and mega crop 2 part and my tap water is 330ppm so wondering is flora nova ok to run in ebb and flow with tap water with that high ppm? Used ff trio + soluble trio last time with pretty good results(branches were a bit wimpy and I should have vegged longer/trained) but feeding 15 plants under 3000w costs more than 3 under 400 so I'm switching to masterblend 4-18-38 , calcium nitrate 15.5-0-0, epsom salt, potassium silicate(agsil16h) and southern ag garden friendly fungicide. I may have root rot again on another plant, its hard to tell. I never got root rot in DWC in the past 8 years and I've had temps as high as 80 degrees in my rez. I took the plunge 3 days ago and transitioned my entire garden over to jack's 5-12-26 from GH's maxi grow / bloom, and all of the plants look fantastic at 647-675PPM! That's pretty incredible to me, and explains why my jack's grown flowers taste and burn better. I have to feed GH's maxi grow / bloom at 775-825PPM to prevent deficiencies. I have always heard not to run multiple strains in a recirculating system. I'm wondering if this is true or just bro-science. It does make sense to me that different strains require different nutrient ratios, especially for flower. What about veg? Plants are much smaller and for the most part require a similar base formula. I use 26 ppm water for my DWC system. No nutes, no additives, nothing. pH is around 7.2. I lower the pH to 5.8-6.0 using Terra Aquatica pH down, and after like 3-4 hours, pH goes back to 7.0. I again add pH down and reach 5.8 pH, wait another 4-5 hours and it is still the same. I repeated at least 5-6 times. I changed the container several times, now I use a food grade container, and the result is still the same. Same happens if I add nutes as well. I lost many seedlings due to pH... I'm running quite a few plants in 6 inch rockwool cubes and I'm having trouble getting them to wet/dry consistently with each other. Some will be totally soaking wet and some are light as a feather at the same time, even if I run the system for 15 mins until my tray is pooling. Some are still extremely light. I have a four site rdwc system in a 5x5 tent and need to heat it. I’m leaning towards an oil filled radiant and will be keeping it on the floor next to the sites (no interest in heating up my buckets by direct heat on the side of two of them). I use my flood table for flood and drain hydro with rockwool cubes. Last run went well with a 17 gal reservoir, changed once a week. Im thinking about jumping to a 27 gal res because im running 12 to 18 plants instead of 3. I want my ph to rise from 5. to 6.5, with an acceptable tolerance of .2 and .3 on either end (5.7-6.2), over the course of the week by week 4 of flower. We are on well water and the PPM is now consistently coming out to 250+. We have a small countertop water distiller unit that we used to use in the city to cut down on our fluoride and chlorine intake. It will produce about 3gal a day, the garden needs 6gal per week so it will cover it.
