So my weak point is mothers. I know the best thing to do is soil, but it just isn't my thing. Most of my growing years have been mono-cropping and taking cuts from veg rooms and not mothers. Now I am just personal and have 7 strains that I need to cut to 4 but am sick of taking care of them, I abuse them so bad. So my questions are for anybody who keeps mothers in pro-mix with GH 3 part what is your style? Pot size, recipe, etc. And how long do you keep them? 4 to 5 months is all I can... This is my first DWC grow, I've been a soil gardener for a long time. I've noticed the PPMs of my reservoir have been staying around 300ppm, while I replenish about 5 gallons of RO water a week to the 25 gallon reservoir. Everything seems to be going fine 2 weeks into flower and plants look healthy. The room is 80 degrees, humidity 50%, water temp 78, and PH of 5.7. I'm using the GH trio with CaliMagic. Just wondering is this typical to not have to keep adding nutrients, or does this mean... DWC PPMs and PH question

Whats up guys? So usually i’ve been running just Fem seeds so I don’t have to mess with males, but there’s a lot of genetics that are just regular. I veg in trays filled with hydroton and my nute solution and have my girls in 4 in rockwool( Started in roots riot plugs or 1 inch rockwool) Then vegged in there for 4/5 weeks. They are then brought to their RDWC buckets and obviously stay their through flowering. (I have 2 reg seeds in with my other vegging right now) What’s the best way?... Hello lads, I have a diy RDWC system with airstones, just like the current culture ones. I had root rot in my firts grow and have had it ever since to some extent, just getting a bit fed up now. Lost full grow after full grow with a few decent grows in between. I now have 10 plants with the rot again due to the 3 day hot UK weather spell, came on in 2 days and crippled them. They popped up this week and now have their first true set of leaves and the root coming through the bottom of the cube. Tomorrow will be the day I throw them in the system. I am in the process of expanding my Aeroponic tote system to a Bucket system in a 98x48 tent. Has anyone done this? I have to elevate my buckets for the drain about 2 feet off the ground and trying to think of ways to do this. the buckets will be farther apart so it has to be individual. GH waterfarm 8 pack Lights - 2 x Optic 4s 4x8 room No co2 Greenleaf Nutrients Megacrop CXHydroponics Regenaroot and Wiltguard I’ve only done a few DWC grows years ago and never used a water chiller. It seems like most people are using them now a days. If my room isn’t putting off a ton of heat can I get by with out one ? What are the ideal water temps? What are considered high temps for water that could hurt the roots ?

I want to plop a 7-10 gallon container in my 5cu ft mini fridge and grow with the res in the fridge, plant growing through the top. Cut a hole in the top for the bucket and seal it all up so it’s not leaking cold air. The fridge is like 130 watts, and used approximately .15 kWh over the course of 8 hours at 55 degrees with nothing inside. I figure a 10 gallon dwc inside should be easy for it to handle. Would I be better off feeding some lines through the top, into a 10 gallon chiller tank... Refrigerator reservoir

Whats up guys, I haven’t had this issue before, i’ve had a 6 bucket rdwc but this is happening in my 4 bucket. I think it may be cause of the roots but not sure. Today i happened to check the roots and water levels in the buckets the plants are in, 3 are where i expected them but one was about two inches from overflowing. I’m assuming something with the return line is clogged or something. I’m about 4 weeks into flowering. I have tried to with a toothpick clean the first bit of line in... ph been dropping with low ppm... did a rez change been kinda of steady around 6.0. It dropped back to a 4.5 after about three days. Mixed stinger nutrient solution and just topped it off. Temperature a steady 74-75 degrees. Rez temp around 66-72 seems to not be drinking much either. Humidity has been a lil high around 70% lately but dropping to 60% now.Anybody know what’s wrong? I run titan flow and gro setups. I usually have 4 systems in flower, another in veg and a flood and drain table for early clones. So thats 6 50 gallon rez. I'm seeing water temps up at 78f lately. I started dropping old PH jugs of frozen water in them for now but thats not doing a whole lot and I have to change them every 8 hours to do much of anything. Decided to do a res change at 3 weeks into flower went in at 1.0ec and 6 PH had to go away for a day so 48 hours later PH has dropped to 4.8 and ec up to 1.1. I did use chlorinated tap water to flush the system and refill, thought I would give it a day or 2 then add Hydroguard. Res temps around 21. I have adjusted the PH tonight back to 6 and added Hydroguard. The plants do not have a great root system... Rapid PH drop after res change

For those with a chiller ... I understand that a chiller sucks up the water from your reservoir, cools it and then the cooled water comes back into your res. But if nothing needs to be cooled for some days, there will be stagnant water in the tube and in the chiller. Does this never cause problems? How do you keep it clean during your grow? So I'm planning my 1st rdwc. I want to start with 5 17g totes a DIY water chiller from a old freezer. Can anyone point out some flaws or improvements to the design. I plan on 3" return lines between totes and back to DIY chiller and 1/2" or 1" feed lines to water falls in each tote. I'm offsetting the return lines to create what I think will be a swirling effect. I think I'll be using atleast a 1000gph pump to make it all work. Now im sure experienced growers have already done this at some point, but I personally had such a hard time trying to find something that would work for cheap and it seems to me like there is quite a few out there that feel the same way. I'm in the process of building my own aeroflo36. I have all the parts I need except the pump and the injection manifold. So heres my question. When I look at the actual injection manifold GH actually uses it really looks nothing like what most DIY's are doing. the GH manifold looks like it has some black tubing and pvc pipe interchanged. theres no way im paying like $65 for something I know I can make myself. So i have been using the GH Flora trio and mixing it according to their charts. It seems to me that the Flora Micro (N) is WAY WAY too much. So i cut it back by 60% for bloom and 50% for veg. Has anybody else doing the same? Also, if i mix according to their charts with RO i end up with a ppm that is at the very top of the range and found it too be WAY WAY too much (over feeding probs). So... i am curious about what adjustments to make and what adjustments other people are making... to... GH Flora trio

Setting up a system using 4"pvc pipe, and 3" net pots, I got the recommended 2 7/8" (73MM) hole saw, on a flat surface it works perfect, cuts flush, no side play between net pots and the drilled hole. The problem is on the convex surface of the pvc pipe it makes a hole that is too large and the net cup wobbles around. So... 200 litre (45 gal) low profile res.... how much aeration is required? I have a 4 outlet aquarium air pump and i plugged 2 lines and ran air stones on the other 2 in the res. The amount of bubbling seems insufficient. I thought of unplugging the other 2 lines and adding stones, but i guessing that the pump just doesnt put out enough pressure to make much difference. I've been reading a bit and I am getting conflicting answers on this topic. First off, I would have to agree with the side that says the sweeteners/sugars are meant to feed the microbial life you have in your system in order to keep it alive rather than causing your plant to uptake the sugars provided, which to my knowledge weed does not uptake sugars. I have four 17 gallon totes that hold approx 10 gallons of water. 1 or 2 plants per tote. Guy at my hydro store didn't tell me much on how to make it and when I asked how to connect tubing/pvc he said just drill the size hole and put tubing in it and it won't leak. the tubing for undercurrent. also if someone could tell me how to do waterfall effect too would be appreciated

Aqua hub plans do not work with DIGITAL TIMER??? Does anybody have the plans to build a control bucket with a TM619-2 5 pole digital timer? Neither aqua hubs or Ogres diy plans do work with this timer. There is a commercial Multi-flow bucket that uses this exact timer so i know it can be done. It actually uses a third outlet for an air pump which is nice. I have enough supplies to build 4 of these controllers. Im debating whether to just order 4 analog timers or purchase one brand new... Been using h202 to control sludge in my res. Maybe its working or maybe not. I dunno. What I do know is that everytime i add it i seem to get a growth burst. The humidifier fills up faster in the next 24 hours. The leaves pray a little harder and the buds seem to swell more...noticeably. I dunno if this is coincidence, as i know growth bursts happen periodically. At least they did in promix. I am growing in a DWC setup with a scrog and COB LED. I currently use GreenLeaf's MEGACROP with CalMag and Great white(baccilus). I am thinking of trying their Sweet candy, bud explosion and their Kelp concentrate. What do you guys use and have you tried the above? If so what are your experiences?
