Rapid PH drop after res change

Hello all, Everything was going OK and res fairly stable with only slight drop in PH. Decided to do a res change at 3 weeks into flower went in at 1.0ec and 6 PH had to go away for a day so 48 hours later PH has dropped to 4.8 and ec up to 1.1.

I did use chlorinated tap water to flush the system and refill, thought I would give it a day or 2 then add Hydroguard. Res temps around 21. I have adjusted the PH tonight back to 6 and added Hydroguard.

The plants do not have a great root system...

I am modifying my Power Grower RDWC systems to have a 13 Gallon Reservoir. And in general my tendency has been to make my PPM stronger then what they actually consume nutrient wise! I have done this because they don't seem to burn and because they can consume the whole entirely of the reservoir in one day at their peak flowering cycle. Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. I don't know how aggressive the nutrients are to metals and if this kind of stainless steel might bleed toxic stuff into the reservoir.... Any idea? April 22, 2019 at 04:01PM Read more about this fix
