RDWC setup

I'll try to keep this brief, I was looking to put together a RDWC setup in my spare room, I was going to so a simple setup like the one below 4-8 Gallon pots ScrOG etc. 2 1/2 months harvest.

I had a friend tell me to try something like the first pic below (please excuse my attempt my MS Paint skills aren't that great lol) 4 plants per 27 gal tote RDWC smaller plants quicker harvest, he still wants to ScrOG to some extent apparently, but does that not defeat the purpose of SOG? not to...

I am modifying my Power Grower RDWC systems to have a 13 Gallon Reservoir. And in general my tendency has been to make my PPM stronger then what they actually consume nutrient wise! Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. How to correct Rising pH/PPM runoff

Okay so this is my first run with Hydroponics. I have been running a top feed drip line system. I am running my girls in 6 inch rockwool cubes placed in 7 x 7 pots filled with hydroton.
