I've never introduced myself but lurked for quite a while. My name is Shawnery and I live in the Ca Bay Area. Been growing for maybe a year with 2 grows under my belt. Both grows had been bottom of the barrel rdwc systems with only 1/2" tubing. Got .85g per watt on my second grow of Gelato 33 and 41.

I've built a new system made out of eight 13 gallon HDX totes, 2" pvc, 1" return, 1000gph water pump, 2 60lph air pump, 4" air stones on each bucket, 6 spout fountain...

I am modifying my Power Grower RDWC systems to have a 13 Gallon Reservoir. And in general my tendency has been to make my PPM stronger then what they actually consume nutrient wise! I have done this because they don't seem to burn and because they can consume the whole entirely of the reservoir in one day at their peak flowering cycle. Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. I don't know how aggressive the nutrients are to metals and if this kind of stainless steel might bleed toxic stuff into the reservoir.... Any idea? April 22, 2019 at 04:01PM Read more about this fix
