Silicone in bucket...?

Hiya
I have a nice big disk airstone, but its leaking a lot of air from the baseplate, ie not all the air is getting pushed through the stone. I thought i could seal it with silicone but im not sure about this, i dont know if the silicone might cause issues?
What do you think?

Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. How to correct Rising pH/PPM runoff

Okay so this is my first run with Hydroponics. I have been running a top feed drip line system. I am running my girls in 6 inch rockwool cubes placed in 7 x 7 pots filled with hydroton.
