Stinky, Cloudy Reservoir water...

Hello folks. I am trying to get a fix for a problem I have been having. Using lucas formula floranova bloom in an ebb n flow system, 70 gallon res, RO water, etc...

I will get right to the point. After adding nutes to my water, within a day or two my res stinks, and becomes kind of cloudy while ph jumps from 5.28 to 5.88 in less than 24 hours. Understand that this is NOT the first time this has happened. It happened before i had an RO system with the lucas formula flora series nutes also...

I am modifying my Power Grower RDWC systems to have a 13 Gallon Reservoir. And in general my tendency has been to make my PPM stronger then what they actually consume nutrient wise! I have done this because they don't seem to burn and because they can consume the whole entirely of the reservoir in one day at their peak flowering cycle. Is AISI-302 stainless steel good for the reservoir with nutrients?

I am wondering if AISI-302 stainless steel parts are suited for permantent contact with the nutrients? It is because I am thinking about using a non return valve which in the reservoir which has AISI-302 grade parts. I don't know how aggressive the nutrients are to metals and if this kind of stainless steel might bleed toxic stuff into the reservoir.... Any idea? April 22, 2019 at 04:01PM Read more about this fix

How to correct Rising pH/PPM runoff

Okay so this is my first run with Hydroponics. I have been running a top feed drip line system. I am running my girls in 6 inch rockwool cubes placed in 7 x 7 pots filled with hydroton. There almost 28 days into veg from seed. I've begun to notice a couple rust spots on my girls nothing too major. I figured starting a little nute burn. So I backed off the nutes a little.
