Ever notice... (bag seeds) soil to Hydro

Sometimes a seed germinated then planted in soil, sprouts, starts to struggle with vertical growth and node separation. Then You place that same plant in a hydro setup and it takes off... Leaves begin to expand. Growth becomes much more apparent. I usually have no problem starting any plant in soil but I run into difficult bag seed phenos here and there. i talked to the owner of a hydro shop near my house he said he used to grow n when he did he would get 2 1/2 pounds from 5 plants under a 1000 w...is that normal my first grow i got 4 oz from two plants n thought that was pretty good?

Those running a sterile system

Sorry another post but I'm having a hard time finding information on this subject. I'm using 50% calcium hypochlorite to sterilize my system. My understanding is a dosage of .10g per 10 gallons is 1ppm but that's not working for me. I premix the pool shock with water and then add that to my reservoir. Today I added 1tsp of hth which is roughly 4g and my total chlorine reached 5 finally but my free chlorine is maybe at 1. My system is as sparkeling clear as anyone could hope but there is a... DIY ebb and flow bucket??? DIGITAL!!! HELP!!

Aqua hub plans do not work with DIGITAL TIMER??? Does anybody have the plans to build a control bucket with a TM619-2 5 pole digital timer? Neither aqua hubs or Ogres diy plans do work with this timer. There is a commercial Multi-flow bucket that uses this exact timer so i know it can be done. It actually uses a third outlet for an air pump which is nice. I have enough supplies to build 4 of these controllers. Im debating whether to just order 4 analog timers or purchase one brand new... Ive had great success without any problems. I recently moved to a rural area and the only water source I have is a well. The well water is infested with pythium, as soon as my sprouts emerge they get root rot and die, if I use bottled water they are fine, but as soon as I go to well water they drop with in a few day's.
