I am at a loss and would love it if someone could help me here... I'm growing flood and drain with coco in smart pots. I'm using the Lucas formula at about 1100uS with GH micro-bloom nutes. Res temp stays about 70-72*F. Flooding once per day. I apply a worm casting tea to the reservoir and top feed the plants with it every week. Using an Alita (AL-40) air pump and PVC diffuser to aerate the water. The plants look super happy, the roots are exploding out the sides of the smart pots and I cannot detect any signs or harmful pathogens in the res (no slime and smells "earthy"). But for some reason the nutrient solution in the flood and drain reservoir drops like ~0.5pH every day. To be clear this pH drop is happening between floods..i.e. The roots are not in contact with the water when the pH is dropping like this. I don't know what the hell is causing this, or how to fix it. So Sunday will be the start of my 5th week with a BigBud auto. This is my first ever grow and I haven't killed her yet and I am unsure if she is producing as she should. Being new I want to pump her full of nutrients but know this will kill her. I was planning on adding 1/4 strength Beastie bloom starting in 5th week but can't find a schedule for nutrients in coco for autos. I want the best results but slap don't want to kill her. I am new to this site, but definitely not new to growing...I've been doing Aero with incredible yields for close to 6 years. My mentor has always taught me to grow using only neoprene collars (no rockwool, no grow plugs, no grow medium at all, except the neoprene the holds the seedling (and plants) in place, with the misters spraying the water underneath directly onto the roots. Hi guys i need some tips on preparing rockwool. I know there's info online i can read (and i have) the problem is i see alot of conflicting information. My seeds have been in a paper towel for about 20 hours now and should be ready in the next day or 2. Hey everyone this is my first time and I’ve decided to do a DWC set up with kind led lighting. I’ve got my seed taproot and I’ve seen online people have been starting straight from the DWC bucket itself from start to finish just the starting point I cover the bucket in Saran Wrap to make that dome like conditions. Hi all! So I got a question for you all... I am going to be harvesting soon (Barney's Farm Amnesia Lemon) and I was going to do an dry ice bubble bag extraction which I then plan to turn into rosin. But then I started thinking: Could I make a LIVE ROSIN by doing the dry ice method right after the chop? I know with professional set-ups, they flash freeze after the chop then do their butane/propane/co2 extraction process. It seems to me that I should be able to do... Any ideas? I'm guessing my pH is too high or my nutes are too concentrated. I'm waiting for a pH meter in the mail. I have been having the worst pH meter luck. As the title says my "HydroFarm Active Aqua Reservoir" leaks. Actually I have 2 of my 3 leaking now. I think it is probably from 6 years of dragging them across the concrete floor on occasion. I shouldn't really complain after 6 years but..... Anyone ever repair these? I bought a new one today only to come home and change out a res then when I filled the one I had cleaned and ready it was leaking which made 2 of 3. I have a sensi seeds Purple Bud in a DIY bubble bucket. I’ve started to SCROG her in an 80cmX80CMX160cm tent. There is an exhaust fan up top and a clip on fan blowing around the canopy. I’m using GH trio, Epsom salts (had a sulfur deficiency) and B52. Temps do not exceed 77 degrees. Ph between 5.8-6.4 ppm - 550-600 after new res change I change the res every 7 days but I top it up with plain PHd water as the plant drinks.
